Oobleck - Recount Writing

Oobleck - it is a weird mixture!

As a group, we were really excited to write recounts about our oobleck making experience.  Please look at how we are using our sequence words - first, next, then and finally. 

We have also tried to stretch ourselves with our description writing - which description do you think suits the oobleck best?

Oobleck

Last Friday Whenua Hub made Oobleck as part of our break through learning. We added cornflour to water and then had to mix, mix, mix. Next we added food colouring. When we touched it with our hands it felt ooie and gooie. It was such great fun.
This week we will use some of the words we used to describe it in our writing.

Recount Writing - Making Play Dough

We have been learning about recount writing and used our experience a few weeks ago to write some recounts.  Please look at how we are using our sequence words like first, next, after that and finally.

Collaborative Challenges

We have been learning about how to collaborate with different learners in Hub Whenua.  Our teachers have been giving us challenges to help us recognise how to collaborate.  Check out our photos from our challenge on Monday where we had to build a tower with only THREE pieces of newspaper!
